About half way there...
My students have been working so hard this year. It is unbelieveable that we are half way though the year. Our state FCAT test is just around the corner, and we are almost completed our entire math text book - only two chapters to go! Then we can take time to review all of the topics again, since we have had to move so quickly to keep up with the district math calendar.
We will be learning this week about three dimensional shapes and how to measure angles. Students will be learning to use a protractor to measure acute, obtuse, and reflex angles.
Here is a great link to practice with. You don't even have to own a protractor! There is an online protractor that you can manipulate using the mouse and keyboard. It's really fun to use!

Finally we get to move on past long division! Most students have caught onto the concept pretty well, and are ready to move on to discover Algebra operations and equations. This coming week we will be learning about exponents and the order of operations.
Here are a couple of great videos your student can watch to reinforce what we are going over in class.
